Black Sheep are excited to announce our next theatre production.
We will be premiering our original production ‘SKIN’ at Stantonbury Theatre on Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd November at 7:00pm.
‘SKIN’, written and directed by our own Georgia Tillery Randak, is a tale of resilience, hope, and the enduring power of a mother’s love in the face of a harsh and unforgiving world. A modern adaptation of the fairytale Rumpelstiltskin, ‘I wrote the play during lockdown and it has been through a period of research and development. I am really excited to share this piece with an audience but also a little nervous, as I have had this script under wraps for some time. My changing identity and my developing theatre practice has offered opportunity for the piece to grow and change, which makes it even more relevant to an audience in 2024’, Georgia Tillery Randak.

A time in the past or future so near.
A time when the Earth is dying a slow death,
A time when the land has been cursed, leaving it baron and infertile.
King wants gold.
Girl wants freedom.
She wants revenge.
Rumpelstiltskin wants what was promised.
SKIN is part of Queer AF, A multi-disciplinary event; speculating, investigating and celebrating queer, black and women led, artworks and experiences over a weekend of events, performances and happenings.
