What We Carry is an exploration of womanhood—the seen and unseen burdens passed from mother to daughter, whispered between friends, and stitched into daily life. It is a story of weight, resistance, and the courage to rise.
This powerful ensemble piece confronts the emotional, cultural, and societal pressures placed on women—across generations and identities. Blending spoken word, movement, and striking imagery, the piece exposes the burdens women are expected to bear and celebrates the strength it takes to survive them.
A devised piece created from gathered stories and experiences.
